Wiggle - Day 1,987

Yesterday afternoon Wiggle and I went to Bath to visit the Christmas Markets.  During our short train journey to Bath, Wiggle relaxed in the carriage aisle, demonstrating how at ease he is with public transport:

We wandered around, stopping by the big Christmas tree in the Abbey courtyard:

We shared a delicious caramel latte, with Wiggle finishing the frothy milk once I'd drunk the coffee:

Wiggle was being a Very Good Boy so after we had done some shopping, we stopped to share a gourmet hotdog.

Wiggle was, as always, an absolute star, getting lots of fuss from people he met.  He's the perfect companion for an afternoon out!

Wiggle - Day 1,985

We wish our friends and followers in America a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow afternoon, Wiggle and I are going to take the train to Bath and visit the Christmas Markets again.  We'll report back after our outing.

Wiggle - Day 1,981

After a morning of lounging, this afternoon we walked in the fields across the road:

Sofy got the tennis ball first:

But then Wiggle got the ball, and he ran on ahead:

For most of our walk, Wiggle decided he would be leader:

Sofy was blending in with her surroundings:

Wiggle went to see what was happening in the next field, but came back when he decided it wasn't much different to the field we were in:

I followed Sofy who followed Wiggle:

Wiggle dropped the ball - for me to throw it:

And so he took his ball and headed back towards home:

Wiggle - Day 1,978

Wiggle is not happy.

We've had nasty, cold and wet weather so he has worn a Horrid Raincoat when we've walked:

Since Wiggle's fur grew back, he doesn't have a full undercoat so he feels the cold more, especially now he is older.  He really didn't like his own Horrid Raincoat, so he's been wearing Sofy's Horrid Raincoat to keep warm and dry.

Sofy is happy about this arrangement especially since she is more robust than Wiggle and doesn't really need to wear a Horrid Raincoat.

I'm not sure whether she looked relieved or worried that she might get another Horrid Raincoat of her own...

Wiggle - Day 1,974

It's been a dull, dreary day here so we haven't been inclined to do much.

Once chores were done, dinners eaten and walks competed, Wiggle and Sofy were happy to join me under a blanket for some snuggly sofa time:

Wiggle is sleepy and snuggly:

And Sofy, just before she too fell asleep:

Wiggle - Day 1,970

We had a cold and frosty start to our day but Wiggle and Sofy didn't mind as we went for our walk in the field as it was getting light.

Wiggle was running, keeping warm as he ran on through the cunchy grass:

Stilll running:

Sitting = cold bum's!

Back to running ahead for Wiggle, just the way he likes his walks:

Wiggle - Day 1,967

Today has been cold but sunny so this afternoon we had a lovely walk along the old railway track.  Once we were over the bridge and Wiggle could go offlead, he only wanted one thing - his tennis ball:

Once he got his ball, he was off!

Sofy was sulking because she couldn't go offlead - she's too obsessed with hunting for birds and bunnies!

Wiggle went down towards the stream (but came back when he realised there was nothing exciting on the other side of the fence):

Sofy heard a pheasant.  Sofy wanted to hunt for pheasant:

Stopping at the turn-around bench:

Wiggle wanted to go through the gate and down to the river but its too cold for swimming!

The end of our walk and Wiggle's halt:

Wiggle - Day 1,966

Today's been a dreary sort of a day with lots of rain but we were lucky earlier and got a walk in between showers.  Wiggle and Sofy ran around, checking for new smells since we had been in the field yesterday:

While Wiggle carried on sniffng, Sofy was boinging around:

After a while, Wiggle came running back to me, carrying his tennis ball:

Stopping to sniff almost turned nasty for Wiggle - Sofy needed to wee and almost got Wiggle on his head!

Sofy: "I wouldn't have wee'd on Wiggle's head. Honest":

Wiggle: "I'm taking my ball and getting out of Sofy's way!":

Cute, "throw the ball" face:

So while Wiggle was busy with his ball, Sofy made her own fun when she found a boggy puddle:

Wiggle - Day 1,964

I realised that I hadn't shared some photo's from our lovely walk in Richmond Park when we were in London at the weekend and as there hasn't been much to report for this week, here they are.

Wiggle, as usual, ran ahead:

Wiggle was busy, running with his ball:

Sofy stayed closer to me, ever hopeful that there might be a treat for her:

Group sniffing:

Lovely Cato:

Still running with his ball:

Cato was boining around, enjoying our walk:

While Wiggle and Sofy stopped to sniff, Cato didn't have time to stand still:

Toby, just being handsome:

We had a lovely weekend and can't wait til we go again!

Wiggle - Day 1,960

This evening a lot of time has been spent playing.  Even though we had been to Richmond Park for a nice long walk, Wiggle, Sofy and Cato were full of energy after their dinner.

Wiggle started with some shredding:

It's surprising how much stuffing can come out of one toy!

Once the stuffing had been cleared away, we thought we would have a peaceful evening. We thought wrong!

Sofy and Cato have been spending lots of time bonding, getting to know each other. Sofy can be funny with other dogs, but we've let them have the time and space to become friends as they will spend lots of time together.

This is what happened earlier:

After a gentle tap on the nose, both adopted a more submissive position:

Cato likes to tap noses with her paw:

And Sofy doesn't seem to mind!

Nose to nose:

Getting a but more active with their play:

Play-bowing and some rarr-rarrrring:

After that, Sofy decided to roll over and be the submissive one:

Now though, they are all fast asleep.....
