Wiggle - Day 1,501

Today we go home after our lovely week here in London.  It's been relaxing for me and apart from Wiggle's shoulder sprain, he and Sofy have enjoyed their walks, going out on the balcony and spending time with Toby and Beenz.

We've had some very heavy rain here, even hailstones and thunder but we got lucky and walked during a break in the weather and Wiggle was allowed a little time off-lead:

I don't want Wiggle to over do things, so he had a few minutes of playing ball:

Enjoying being off-lead:

Wiggle seemed to have forgotten his injury and was keen to chase the ball:

But his freedom was short lived, so it was back on lead and back to carrying his ball:

I turned to see what Toby and Beenz were doing - Toby was having a little rest!

Wiggle - Day 1,499

Wiggle stayed on lead for his walk on Wandsworth Common today, once again carrying his tennis ball:

Toby and Sofy did some running around:

Toby wasn't putting a huge amount of effort into chasing the ball, but was willing to place chasey games with Sofy:

Beenz was trundling about, doing his own thing...

All 4 together:

Wiggle was still able to sniff around in the grass:

Following behind Toby and Beenz:

We've been taking our walks nearer to the house, partly due to Wiggle needed to take it a bit easier while he gets over his sprained shoulder and also because so much of the area is affected by Olympic-related traffic.  A big bonus to being in London though was being able to see the Red Arrows in the distance, when they flew over the Olympic Stadium earlier this evening!

Wiggle - Day 1,498

I'm very pleased to report that Wiggle was feeling up to joining us for our walk this morning.  We went over to Tooting where we were able to walk in the shade for a while, giving Wiggle the chance to plod along, on-lead:

Wiggle had to give up his lead-position to Toby:

Even though he couldn't run and chase a ball, Wiggle was happy to walk (and sit!) with his ball:

Beenz, showing that he had found a muddy puddle to paddle in:

Sofy ran around, chasing the ball (not Wiggle's tennis ball, we took 2 so he was still carrying his):

Toby ran around a little, but didn't put much effort into chasing the ball:

Wiggle was being very good, and watching, not trying to run for the ball:

Sofy was happy to run around, even if she wasn't racing against Wiggle!

Wiggle - Day 1,497

Wiggle didn't have a good night's sleep as he was restless for a lot of the night and being so warm didn't help either.  The vet had warned me that the injection might make him woozy and it was as if he was trying to fight it, trying not to sleep and whimpering.

This morning Wiggle managed a very short walk around the block, for his necessities and this afternoon, he's been feeling a little brighter, spending some time watching the street from the balcony:

Wiggle managed a little light woogling:

But then flopped, worn out...

Wiggle - Day 1,496

Poor Wiggle isn't feeling any better so this morning I got him an appointment to see the vet.  He was still limping badly on one front leg and examining him, the vet thinks he has hurt his shoulder (not paw or leg as I thought).  Wiggle has had a painkiller/anti-inflammatory injection and also been given Meloxidyl (similar to Metacam) and has been resting.

Wiggle's feeling a little unsettled as the vet said he might feel drowsy after the injection, but right now he's settled down, which can only be a good thing...

It broke my heart to see him looking so sad when I took the others out but rest is best for Wiggle right now.

Wiggle - Day 1,495

This morning we went over to Morden Hall Park for our walk but unfortunately Wiggle managed to hurt himself - I think he landed awkwardly when he jumped from the car, so he was limping badly.

He managed a shortish walk though:

Wiggle did his best to enjoy the walk, carrying his tennis ball instead of chasing after it:

Back at the house, I gave Wiggle some Metacam and he got himself on the sofa to rest:

Sofy was looking worried, but staying nearer to Wiggle:

Leaving Wiggle to rest with the others, I headed out for a few hours, going to Trafalgar Square.  Here's the National Gallery:

Wiggle is now on sofa-rest and I'll see how he is after a good night's rest...

Wiggle - Day 1,494

It's been another lovely sunny and warm day here in London and this morning we went over to Tooting for our walk. Wiggle was enjoying the sunshine, but I'd forgotten to charge the batteries so there's only one photo from our walk:

Back at the house, Wiggle and Sofy were thinking about spending some time outside:

Joined by eenz, they decided to do some sunbathing:

Later, we all went upstairs to relax, with Wiggle and Sofy checking everything was ok in the street from their vantage point on the balcony:

Sofy seemed to be taking her 'neighbourhood watch' very seriously:

But before long, she was starting to feel tired:

Sofy was just planning on resting her eyes for a moment...

But guarding from the balcony was all too much!

Wiggle took over, but soon he was snoozing in the sun too:

Wiggle - Day 1,493

We've had a lovely day today, warmer than of late and lots of sunshine, so it was the perfect day for a walk at Nonsuch Park.  Sofy, Wiggle and Beenz:

Beenz doesn't chase the ball, so the other 3 lined up nicely, waiting for me to throw the ball:

Toby and Wiggle decided to run on ahead:

Beenz was keeping up:

Soon it became apparent where Toby was heading:

It wasn't long before Sofy and Wiggle were in the muddy water too:

Beenz was taking his time getting to the pond:

Sofy was concentrating hard, watching the ball I was holding:

Standing in the mucky water, waiting for the ball:

Toby goes for the closer position, while two little faces peer up at me:

Beenz was wallowing, getting nicely dirty:

All four, in the muddy, mucky pond!

Running through the grass, a good way to clean off:

Beenz wasn't bothered about cleaning off!

Even though he didn't know where he was going, Wiggle ran ahead:

All together, tired but happy after a fabbie Labbie walk:
